The EWS3 key programmer is a stand alone unit that programs keys to BMW, Mini & Rover vehicles that are equipped with a EWS module with a maskset OD46J. The maskset number is directly written on the MCU of the EWS module. This tool does not require a PC for programming. It uses a 9v battery for power.
You will however need to own an ABRITES PROTAG to prepare PCF7935 transponders to be used with BMW EWS tool.
